This year the sophisticated contemporary jewel designers will be making a fashion statement; “mixing tradition with the modern look”.

2008 is the year for gold tone Jewellery.Yellow gold has always beendominant in India and continues to be so. Also, white gold is catching its pace too.

Jewellery in yellow and white gold, studded with diamonds or & complimented with precious color stones will definitely continue to be in vogue.

Settings Used: Flower design with seven diamonds in pressure set giving a look of single diamond is a rage in Indian Retail Market.

Yet another setting that continues to take the forefront is Micro prong diamond setting,. This setting is currently a rage in the international market and is currently gaining momentum in India. The “Swirlz Collection” perfectly complements this requirement.

Diamonds: Yellow or Champagne color and pink diamonds are most favored. Marquise shape is the flavor of the year. Though the diamonds themselves have a regular shape but when put together in a bangle or necklace set they can form very interesting designs.

Polki (Uncut Diamonds): Far removed from the fire that an ideally cut diamond radiates polki looks like glass cut thinly in irregular shapes. Colour Stone Jewellery: Colour stones will be the hot fashion for spring and summer of 2008. The color that would be in demand will be blue.
